Once upon a time we did these videos for the good people at Once Upon A Grime, they called them ‘freestyles’ but they’re actually just verses. The videos were shot at the offices for King Apparel who took their clothes back after the shoot. #thuglife

DDF Live Band Tears Up Age Of Aquarius

Friday the 10th saw us smashing out our first gig with the band in sometime, heading out to Colchester to play Skank Sabbath: The Age Of Aquarius. The event was to celebrate the birthday of our boy Rev Will Wright (the director of The Palace video). Safe to say the show was a success, along with stellar performances from Greg Blackman and Seeds-One MCing for the Rev’s set which had us shacking until we could shack no more.

Many thanks to all involved and watch this space for future Skank Sabbath events.

A few of you have got in touch recently asking where you can buy the lovely new DDF tees that we’ve been rocking in all our new photos/at gigs etc. It gives us great pleasure to announce that the T-Shirts are available from the Emerging Species store, or you can buy them directly from the DDF bandcamp page and you’ll get a free download of Operation: Zombie Nation too! Emerging Species Hit Soundcloud

For those of you who in the know Emerging Species is already a familiar name, for those who haven’t heard of them, get with the program (yeah?). Emerging Species (EMSP) are a record label formed early last year and responsible for all the subsequent releases from Gentle Mystics, Screaming Soul and ourselves. We will be working very closely with EMSP in the future, both as DDF and working on releases for other artists as myself and Bill Daggs are both part of the EMSP team. After getting off to a very productive start (5 releases in the first 9 months!) and with a few surprises up their sleeves for 2012, EMSP will definitely be one to keep a close eye on this year. Please go and have a butchers at the website when you’ve got a moment and in the meantime check this little selection from their Soundcloud page.
