BEING WATCHED – OFFICIAL VIDEO + REMIXES

DDF Archives, Downloads, Music, Releases, Remix, Video

In August 2011, “Being Watched” got a brand spanking new video, so we got some remixes together from various producers in the fam, re-packaged it with some fantastic new artwork from Nottingham’s own Rikki Marr and put it on bandcamp as a free download (which includes the video in the download package).

The video was shot and directed by Christian West, and features Undali’s Cuntstubble Laggins,¬†Wyt Fang and our boy Kai Owens.

DefDFires live band!!!

Events, Live

November last year saw the birth of the DefDFires band, like many of the band members themselves the group took it’s first steps in Kilburn. The debut performance was a run of three nights supporting Rubberbandits in Powers Bar, all three nights sold out and the live band was thrust into the world, leaping and screaming with the joyful intensity DDF supporters will know well, now backed some beefy instrumentation. The new members include original Undali member Gringo Grasshopper on bass, Tiffer Morris on drums and the return of DDF founding member Jayla Payne on guitar (and maybe even the odd cheeky verse). We went on to play a good string of gigs including Proud Galleries and Hootanannys before we had to retreat into hiding to complete our work on O:ZN, now that we are out of the cave I’m pleased to say that the band will return soon, bigger, better and with even more hoe-down headbanging hip-shaking madness.

Marz – Sax, Drugs & on the Dole

In July 2011 Marz (of Brighton Hip Hop collective Scribe Tribe) dropped his debut LP – “Sax, Drugs & on the Dole”. It’s a dope Boombap Brighton Hip Hop LP and features our very own Bill Daggs on the track “Taught You To Kiss”. The LP is free to download from Zram Records bandcamp page, so don’t sleep.

Survival Guide Video Shoot

Featured Artists, O:ZN, Pictures

Last Halloween we went down to Brighton’s ‘Beach of the Dead’ zombie walk to film a video for ‘Survival Guide’. Our good friend Dan-DNA came up with the idea of capturing some footage of us clowning around amidst thousands of zombies, so we got our make up out, made some blood packs, obtained a chainsaw and hoped on the train down to Brighton. We took along the very talented Joe Conner to shoot and direct, and our resident zombie expert Kai Owens. We also had Mike Massaro on hand to catch some extra footage as well as some (more) great photos of the zombified DDF.

Watch out for the video dropping soon…

Mike Massaro Captures LDN Zombie Outbreak

Featured Artists, Pictures

In 2010 DDF discovered the joy of world zombie day, a wonderful occasion for zombie enthusiasts worldwide. The traditional celebration for this holiday is to take to the streets with hundreds of other zombies and get pissed, and that’s exactly what we did. We took our good friend Mike Massaro along for the ride and he got some great snaps of us in all our undead glory, sexy.

“DDF will rise from the grave for the comeback…”

Current Status On DDF

O:ZN

This is just a note to inform the readers of this blog that DDF are currently locked away in the Cabin, putting the finishing touches to their new album “O:ZN”, due for release this October on Emerging Species.

Despite refusing to disclose much about the nature of the album (or make any contact with the world at all), they have sent us a link to the ‘O:ZN LOG’.

For now this our only way of keeping in touch with our friendly neighborhood DefDFires, though readers are warned that the groups mental state seems to have deteriorated somewhat during the recording process…

Lets hope they make it out in one piece.

Yours,

EMSP
